My Lesson will help you. Have you asked yourself if you are an artistic person, are you creative, can you see a picture in 3-D, are you good with your hands, did you ever make anything yourself, at home or at school? Do you have a hobby? Did you attend art classes at school? STOP. Don't run away. If you did all this, good for you. If you did not, not to worry, many people discover their talent only after 40 or 50 years of age and become very famous. So can you. OK, where do we go now? The book store if you can spend a few bucks. If not, the best place is the library. Find everything that is related to jewellery and read it, read it and read it again. There is another place to go and it is the best to start with.The jewellery shop, but not just any jewellery shop. Only one that has a workshop, a manufacturing jeweller. Tell them that you want to learn the jewellery trade and if they will allow you to visit the workshop. I will tell you a little secret that lots of people know, except you. You don't have to start your studies at a jewellery school, spend years to get a goldsmith certificate and have no experience. Instead, find a jeweller who is willing to take you as an apprentice and apply for your apprenticeship. When you are ready, you qualify and have experience as a goldsmith with a secure job.
